This is a story about more than just people, their ambitions, and their conflicts: it is a story about crisis, set in a universe where survival, for any side, and for anyone, may be impossible.

It remains to be seen if the popular patriotic saying, "Humanity endures," will remain true - even for a week.

Humanity. It goes beyond the common definition of: "a collective group of humans". It's a sense of benevolence. One may act; 'for the sake of humanity' and there are; 'crimes against humanity'. We're supposed to be proud of the human race, yet... humans are self-destructive. A group of elite alien race came to Earth and proved once and for all that we were our own worst enemy. They weren't wrong. but it was too late. They managed to save Earth- eradicating pollution and reversing global warming but they killed anyone who got in their way and indoctrinated the rest. Those who remained revolted. World War III resulted- killing the planet. The War ended but the battle was not won. The fight continues on, despite the destroyed society and Earth we call home. It's a relentless fight between those who want the world to go back to the way it was and those who still fight to hold on to their humanity- no matter what. We self-destruct but we also fight for what's right. It's a delicate balance- it's an art form. Humanity is not alone in the universe. More specifically Earth is not alone. It is an age of wonder for humanity. For all but a few. At some point in our forgotten past Earth was cut off from our intergalactic neighbors and decides to fend for herself. Later we lose ourselves to infighting and nationalism instead of being true to our nature of being a space dwelling, intergalactic human cooperative. Now our space cousins are reestablishing contact with Earth. Bringing their superpower enabled, technological mastery of science so advanced as to seem supernatural. Eliminating slavery, wars, crime, diseases, climate shifts, and currency, with their arrival. Offering the promise of entry into a thriving united galactic empire. (I am dropping in from time to time updating the story with fresh ideas as they pop into my head this is so very much a first draft I have not even decided on names for some of the characters or different factions of humans that are to be encountered from beyond our solar system)
