Ashriel Floke is an angel of Eden, a guardian. Protecting Terrans from demons is a task she undertakes with pride. Heaven's angels call her people "fallen" and "dogs," seeing them as little more than slaves to disfigure and abuse. See, Heaven believes demons aren't a threat. They're easy to defeat. The demons find that hilarious.
Heaven's angels look down upon their banished cousins, the fallen, the soldiers who toil to protect Terra from the insatiable appetites of demons. They live surrounded by splendor while the fallen, the angels of Eden, require only what's necessary to survive. Eden is full of warriors who will either die on the battlefield, or suffer at the merciless hands of their heavenly cousins.
Ashriel is a guardian, an angel assigned to a sector on Terra. If any demons appear, she banishes them back to their plane. Killing a demon requires too much powyr to use safely on Terra. It weakens an angel, and Heaven will take advantage. They don't fear the demons, and why would they? The demons ignore them. Because they're predictable and weak. Eden's angels, well they can withstand an assortment of exciting games. None more than Ashriel.
Where others cower, Ashriel faces her enemies with her head held high, and a sarcastic quip. For this, the demons adore her and seek her company. In fact, they introduced Ashriel to their leader in the hopes he'd choose her for his mate. Well, fate has something to say about that. She chose a mate when Ashriel was born with saving the universe from the demons in mind. So Ashriel can choose the frying pan or the fire. Angel of Heaven, or demon. Knowing her, however, she'll tell them to enjoy each other's company while she saves the world.
