Sara wanted to spend her summer with her friends and meet a boy so she could fall in love. But her dad dragged her to the most nothern part of New Hampshire, to clean out his grandmother's home. She never knew her, but her dad insisted they go together. When she found an old journal dating back to her great great great gandmother's time. This journal would ultimately changed her mind.

Lillian Morris was being sent to meet her fiance James Martel in New York. Her father introduced them and soon they would be married. Her father needed the Martel fortune to save his estate. Lillian yet felt trapped, she was a means to an end in the world around her. Yet she gave up everything to please her father and try to be happy. Everything would change when she met William. Not knowing it they would ultimately have to fight for their lives.
