"I can't believe I am feeling like this. I spend the whole train journey hoping to catch her eye. I sit pretending to read hoping I look intelligent and interesting. Hoping some will move past or do something that will give me an excuse to look up and steal a glance. I spend my whole morning hoping she is in the same seat and there is a seat near for me to take." Jess knew this was a confession and a half. She felt vulnerable.
"Wow girl" said Matt. A little taken back "you've got it bad"
"I know, I feel so pathetic" Jess dropped her head into her free hand
"So, what you gonna do about it because one day she might not be on the train and then you really will never know?" the comment caused Jess to sit up and meet Matt's stare straight on. She couldn't let that happen could she?
"I don't know, I can't just ask her out. We have barely said two words to each other"
"Then turn two words into sentence and go from there little sister. What have you got to lose? You know you will lose the chance if you don't" He was right. Why did he always have to be right?
