Sparrow's Curse: The Prince of the Dark Forest

I wake up, the hot burning scent of ash fills my lungs. Fire! I get up and pull on my cloak and emergency bag. I go to my door. I sense that fire is on the other side.
"Abi! Fire," I yell. I duck down below the smoke. I quickly crawl towards my window. I open it, scrambling onto the roof. I avoid broken and burning areas and break down the window. Fire fills the room. My heart fills with terror as I search. Panic sets in. Something grabs me and pulls me out of the window.
"Sparrow! I got her. Don't you worry. But she's badly injured. Who would do something like this?"
I turn around towards our home. The mansion is burning.
"I think that I might know who," I reply.
