The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant, it cannot be created or destroyed; rather it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another. William and Quin Perrin's lives revolve around this law.
Energy Morphology is one of the most prestigious, difficult, and controversial sciences to study and it is one that William and Quin are well on their way to mastering. Their only real goal is to repair the damage done to their bodies in the accident that also killed their father. However using Energy Morphology on living beings is highly regulated, and using it on humans - even one's self - is illegal. Making their straightforward goal risky to obtain.
It leads them down difficult and dangerous paths all in the name of knowledge. Becoming the youngest members of the military's Morpher's Branch was never part of their plan, nor was becoming entangled in the centuries old search for a woman with seemingly unchecked Morphing abilities. The two are dedicated to their search and willing to turn over any and every stone to find the information they seek. Some stones though are not meant to be turned over and they find themselves with knowledge they never wanted or expected to have.

The story takes place in the year 2115. Oil reserves nearly ran out in the year 2053, causing World War III, which was a devastating 5 year nuclear war, destroying much of the world we call home. Scientists have developed technology in which slower vehicles can be powered by plant waste. Solar, wind, and hydra technology has been further developed although nothing works the same.
