You were supposed to be normal. Well, as normal as you can get when you're a bigender Native American with an attitude who is literally the dictionary definition of a contradiction. Yet the one time you attempt having a life you end up getting a lot more than you bargained for. Because everything you thought was fake, such as gods, goddesses, monsters, demons, angels, and anything in-between is real. Add on to that of having to go to a new school for 'other beings', gaining powers, two Soulmates, and classic teenage bullshit you end up just regretting your entire life. And let's not forget that you might be a key piece in a centuries-old prophecy that everyone's fighting over. Well, fuck. Disclaimer: The cover art is not mine.

Shattered

"Now, would I go to prison and atone for my sins? Yes, but I cannot. No matter how hard I've tried." ----- "I swear, I'm not crazy! I just...don't know if the truth is better than a lie." ----- "We're better off dead, aren't we?" "...Yeah, we are." "Good." ----- "What's the point in living when you're built without a purpose?" ----- "Deities, gods, whatever you call them, are nothing more than puppets; cruel, unforgivable puppets drenched in the blood of the very people they were supposed to protect." ----- "We've lived a thousand lives, and we were built for only one purpose; for if we weren't, then what right do we have to exist if not to live for solely that purpose? For their entertainment." ----- "We may be without muzzles, but we're still on a leash. Don't forget that." ----- "You lied to me, and that's how all this came to be." ----- To those who find themselves reading this, know that appearances will deceive you. So, until you're safe from them as well, trust everyone fragilely and have your loyalty lie with you, and you alone. (Book one) -Nyxe
