The year is 1936. The state of America that of failure, misery, and violence. It seems as if the experiment that came into being from 1776 may fail due to political ideologies clashing for control of the nation.

Huey Long is the new president of America, which has caused the International Workers of the Worls to start riots within the Steel Belt. 

The area is now under strict police control, and any hint of syndicalist sympathies may lead to a good beating or even death.

The year is 1917, and the Great War is slowly drawing to a close, but the end can't come fast enough for the two nations from the Southern Hemisphere, exhausted and ready to go home and to try to resume a normal life. Kyle knows he's close to breaking. Even hearing the name of that cursed place aloud causes him pain, and he knows Avery feels the same. Then comes that stupid smiling American, with his talk of heroes and aide. And Kyle can't help but start to feel differently about Alfred.
