I awaken abruptly from slumber as if I'm gasping out of water for air. Eyes wide open, I give my dark room a cursory glance and shut my eyes.
I lay there on my side breathing heavily with my eyes shut tight wondering which is a dream and which is reality.

My dreams are lively and vivid as if it were a movie and I'm living it. It can be nightmares as well, different genres can come into play.

Feeling the weight of the dream every time, each different.
It's vivid and animated that I can write it--paint it even--just from closing my eyes.
