This is the Penal Code, which applies to states in the Northern Part of Nigeria. While the Criminal Code is applied to judicial matters affecting crime in the other states of Nigeria, this Penal Code, strongly culled from Islamic Law, applies in the North.

MARRED

She was Intelligent, passionate and a natural care giver. At 26, Amanah Sa'eed was ready to take on the world as it came. As long as she pushed and prayed, no matter where she was from or what had happened in the past, nothing would hold her back from achieving her dreams. She would be free, love and learn to be loved. After all, what had a poor orphan to lose but a little shred of dignity? But she will soon learn that things of the past do not necessarily remain in the past and that the only true healing is of Allah, from Allah. From the benign looking to the lethal heartened, Ahmad Amjad Yaasir thought he had seen it all. He was a Confident Conqueror to the public, a Strict Boss to his staff, a Legal Lethal to his colleagues, but only Amanah Sa'eed saw through that thick layered skin. The child behind the cloak. Once their paths crossed, he was certain they were destined to be and Ahmad would be dense to let her go. Together, they will weave through the shackles within and learn to ignore the scars it left behind until the day they are no longer MARRED.
