“Allison.” He murmured. I was surprised that he still knew my name. Then he grabbed me. The next thing I knew his lips were on my lips. I froze. I’ve been waiting for this kiss my whole life and I had at least a million fantasies of it but none of them came close to this. I hesitated another second but I got carried away with the fierceness of his mouth. There was a sense of urgency that I just had to give in to. I kissed him back and his arms began to wrap itself around my body. My hand snaked to his neck, grasping for his raven, thick mane. He held me tighter as if someone was going to take me away. I was wrong. He was the one who had been taken away. An incredible force snatched him from me. One minute we were kissing. The next I was standing in the middle of a deserted street. Alone. Tears were cascading down my face. I ran forward, farther, hoping I’d see a glimpse of him running away. I didn’t. The farther I got, the darker the streets became. I stopped, feeling lost. Hopelessness finally eating up at me. I sank to my knees. I screamed his name. Nothing came back. Not even an echo. The most horrible thing happened. I woke up.

Decadent

My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."
