Princess Elise of Soleanna and her adopted daughter, an elegant and beautiful female leopard named Shenzi, had peacefully lived in Soleanna for their entire lives. It would seem that their lives would always be the same.... until the day a little blue hedgehog literally ran into their lives.
After losing his rings during an accident, Sonic must locate and retrieve them, with the help of Shenzi. The two must embark on a journey to locate the rings and get Sonic to safety before a evil genius bent on capturing Sonic can steal his power, all while discovering new things about themselves and forming a unique bond.
