My grandma was a famous astronaut for NASA in the 1960's. When she finally retired after a failed attempt to be the first woman on the moon, she settled down, got married, and had my mom, Angie.
When my mom turned eight-teen she got into a bad relationship and ended up being left by him. Alone and pregnant with me she moved to Washington, DC to live out her and my grandmas dream of becoming an astronaut.
This story isn't about them though. It's about me. Whitney Delaney Ritchey. This story is about the moon, love, and all that follows. Who would be the first woman on the giant planet called the Moon?

Do you know anyone with a crippling, morbid fear of flying? Well, you do now. I have a theory: An event one spring day in the town cemetery at the dawn of my existence had everything to do with planting a stark view of life and death which led, eventually, to a profound mistrust of infernal contraptions that carried you up into the sky. Because of that profound mistrust, vast portions of my prime were spent (and misspent) on long journeys aboard trains. A trip that would have been a blip in time by plane was an entirely different deal on the train—days and nights, not hours. Veritable miniature eternities. This led to encounters, adventures, dilemmas and situations that could only happen on a train—and not merely because of the train’s comparative slowness, but because train people are an entirely different breed of human from airplane people (or bus people, for that matter, and that’s another story). Trains are so....well....so existential. This stark view of life and death, which also had plenty to do with me lobbying my mother (in vain) to get busy on building a fallout shelter in our basement, had some stiff opposition. To be an American child in the 50s was to open one’s innocent eyes on the post-WW2 decade, an era jumping with progress, plenitude, dazzling crazed optimism and fun. Nightmare glimpses of atrocities from that big bad war we missed by the skin of our teeth bobbed to the surface occasionally, sobering us and reminding us of our aberrant good luck, and in my case, whispering that innocence was but a thin, thin membrane, that this world I’d been born into was a seething, infinitely complicated place, and I’d better pay attention. But let’s have some fun! Here we go, with Bad Boys. What’s rock ‘n’ roll but the shot heard ‘round the world?

I hope you guys will enjoy this as much as I have writing it for you. Thank you! Shout out to my fam. Mary for the suggestions and help as well. THANKS. -MRJ- It wasn't always like. this. My Brothers, Sister, and I Used to live elsewhere. Somewhere worlds away. So beautiful, peaceful, better then where we are at now. At least it used to be. War had stricken out in our solar system. Our Father and Mother ripped from their throne. Royalty fallen in the hand of our enemies. We Umairians were cast out, enslaved, killed, and imprisoned. It was the darkest hours of Umairians as we fell. It was the hardest of times ever in the one-hundred years of my life. The next to it, is my siblings and I being taken away and brought to this planet hidden away and protected. Yes, I am one-hundred years old though I portray myself as being 17. We Umairians age four times slower than the humans. Now my siblings and I live amung humanity in this new life, on this new planet. Earth is what they call it here. Our original home was more radiant than this. Our air was so much cleaner, all water on oyr plabet was crystal clear. The land and grass greener then Irelad. Our sunrises and sun sets had colors so vibrant and brilliant. Many shades of color not known to this planet. We had five moons ranging in size they were different colors like blues, green, purple, silver and human blood red mixed. That one was the biggest most beautiful moon we had. Also had a moon that was broken. It had and huge chunk missing. We called it, Isohlti Muh Gihra. Meaning Moon of many valleys. We had two suns also. Home was our Shangri- La, but that seems like a lifetime ago. Now this is our home, hiding our true identities from everyone. Living a new life. I am an Alien Hybrid, My name, December, and this is my story.

I panickedly walked down the now empty hallway I heard some footsteps behind me I turned around to see the idiot who was NOT my GIRLFRIEND. "Don't follow me," I said loud and kept walking. But that idiot couldn't understand a hint "If you Do not stop following me I swear to the goddess I'm going to hurt you," I turned around to look at her "Look I'm sorry I didn't mean that to happen" "You didn't mean to tell the whole school that we are a couple when I have literally only ever talked to you one time?"I asked angrily. "Well yeah I did mean to do that," She answered with a frown trying to think about what to say. But I didn't give her a chance as I accidentally lifted my foot and hit her hard in between her legs. I felt something as my foot connected with her crotch but I didn't think about it As she fell on the empty hallway. Holding her hand in between her legs While saying something like Goddess and hot. I didn't listen as I walked out of the school hallway and left her there.
