The year is 2047. It has been 8 years since the "Infected" sickness had started. Ever since the loss of his Dad, he is stuck on his own. Not knowing what the hell to do with no survival tactics, he must go off what his dad had left him; a backpack, non-perishable foods, 2 hand guns, pocket knife, and a map with an "X" marked somewhere. The relics of his father leads to the curiosity of his mind. To avenge his late father, he is set on a journey that will change his life; Forever.

F/N L/N was born into this world never knowing what it was like before it became hell. Since she was young, she had to fend for herself and learn to survive on her own. Her mother died from infection when F/N was just 5 and her dad went missing outside of the quarantine zone when she was 7 so she's been alone for the past 5 years. She left the quarantine zone she was born into at 9 and made her own way in the world. She's seen some pretty bad stuff and been part of some horrifying experiences but she's still living, luckily. Ellie found traveling with Joel to be both rewarding and simultaneously frustrating. It was like talking to a cold, emotionless brick wall sometimes. So imagine her excitement when they run into another group of travelers heading in the same direction, and they agree to travel with Ellie and Joel. The most exciting part? The other group has a girl their age. This is essentially a Ellie/Reader slow-burn fanfiction. It's also a fix-it fic in regards to the Last of Us Part 2 because I have personal issues with it.
