Raven is a superhero, but she's not your typical, happy go-lucky hero. She's dark and brooding and horribly misunderstood. She finds herself alone on earth. The Teen Titans accept her into their group, but would they be so accepting if they knew the truth about her past? Could anyone ever truly understand her? Will she always feel so alone?

This is my personal take on the DC superhero Raven from the Teen Titans. I find a lot of inspiration in her character, so I'm going to write a bit of a twist on her story that emphasizes the parts of her that inspire me most. I want to dive into her mind and write something that shows who Raven truly is. My desire is that others can find hope in her story just as I have.

I do not claim credit for the characters or the backstory. That all goes to DC. The ages and characters I've chosen to include do not necessarily line up with the comics.

Damian Wayne never felt he belonged with the Teen Titans. The constant taunts for his methods wore him down. Somehow, they had forgotten that he was just a 12-year-old kid. While a few, like Nightwing, Starfire, and Raven, understood him, everyone else kind of hated him. One day, he went too far and injured a criminal more than he should have. The taunts escalated, labeling him a murderer. Feeling utterly unwanted, Damian had enough. He left the team and disappeared, ensuring that even Batman wouldn't find him. He started traveling through the Himalayas and Nepal, seeking peace. Eventually, he found solace in India, adopting a new identity and developing an interest in playing the guitar. Seven years passed. In this time, Damian mastered 40 types of martial arts and focused heavily on archery. Under his new identity, he taught guitar to children, finding joy in guiding them and spending time with them, as they were the only ones who didn't see him as a murderer. Despite this, Damian often reflected on his upbringing and the reason for his existence. His mother, Talia al Ghul, had wanted a replacement for Ra's al Ghul, not a child, and his father, Batman, hadn't even known he existed until they met. Accepting that he was unwanted and didn't belong anywhere, Damian sometimes broke down, questioning why he couldn't have a normal life. Yet, amidst the solace he found with children, his life took another turn. One day, he received a call from Batman. To discover the reason behind Batman's call and what it means for Damian, read the full story.

Raven has been regressed to a child once again, but has her powers this time. She has no memory of the Titans and no longer trusts anyone except for Beast Boy because of a first impression. Secrets are revealed that Raven would probably prefer to keep secret. But it is not her decision to make. ----------------- This story is for all the BBRae shippers that I've seen on the internet wishing that It was Beast Boy instead of Robin in "The End Part 2".
