Unbreakable Ties

The story opens with a crack of lighting and a loud howl resounding in a dark wood. A cauldron bubbles over a stoked fire as a witch hurries around her small cottage. As she sprinkles in the last ingredients into the large cast iron pot, the blackened liquid swirls and clears as if smoke was blown from a candle and reveals two figures walking through the woods, one is a hooded male figure with a red cape is walking calmly while the other stomps besides him in tattered clothes and ears pivoting on the top of his head surveying their surroundings, a chain hangs from the angry one's neck and connects to the red hood's wrist. The witch watches in fascination as the two mysterious figures approach a stone structure, the liquid blackens once more and there is a knock at the door.
