Secrets are meant to stay buried, but somehow they always resurface to haunt us, and there's just no running from the truth. 
Sicily Banton came home from school to support the campaign of her father running for Mayor of their hometown of Thibodaux, Louisiana and finds that , Ned Vidal, the owner of her favorite restaurant as a kid, had been killed in his home.  Sicily teams up with her cousin Timothy and Andre, her childhood best friend, now detective to try and figure out who would want Ned dead. The more the trio uncover, the more people start to mysteriously die. The investigation leads them down a rabbit hole of  buried secrets that should have never been uncovered, secrets that could ruin many prominent families in Thibodaux, secrets that some are willing to kill to keep them buried.
