Brighid was always alone, even when she was surrounded by her family. She was the eldest daughter from her mother's first marriage and to say her step father didn't like her was an understatement. Brighid's step father never showed her any kindness like he did to her step sister's. No hugs or kisses, no praise when she got straight A's on her school assignments, no help when she was sixteen and had her first shift into her inner wolf. Her step father even tried to marry her off as soon as she turned eighteen just to get her out of his sight for good. That night was the last straw for Brighid and she packed up what she could carry and stole away into the night, and never looked back. She ran away and eventually, after a few years of roaming from place to place, settled down when she turned twenty-one, in the small town of Mist Point.
