Home to the savage enemies of law and order, Below was born from the ruling world Above. The doppelganger of the original world. Once was an identical sister, Below evolved to inhabit the dirty, the ugly, and the criminals. A trade of the undesirables kept her twin clean and safe of havoc. A quantum mistake or a tragic war of the world. No one knows the true events that occurred. If you look overhead, in the distance beyond the clouds you will spot a city.

Gemini Crawford is challenged daily by the expectations of her fortunate family. Raised in wealth and glory, she finds herself torn between a perfect formulated life or risk the chance and discover a sui generis side of herself. A life in Above is dependent on successors, yet Gemini detests the consequence's of living for her worth. Something of her life must change and all it took was a little push.

Gemma Beckett has tried her entire life to be something more than scum. Without fail, the real world reminds her that she's an undesirable. But Below has taught her to have a rough shell, protected from the cruelty of the world, she devotes her life to heroic crimes. With masking effort and long nights, she borrows what man would overlook and turns it to gold. Some would call her a hero, a blessing in disguise, at the chance other's would put her head on a pike and rid the Below of the wicked. Nothing will stop Gemma from giving the people what they deserve, no matter what it takes.
