1915. Europe has pledged herself into a catastrophic war. It is the Great War. Every nation chooses a side with either the Entente or the Central Powers. Our story takes place in the region where it all started, in the Balkans. Specifically every Balkan nation is fighting. All except one. Greece. You see at this point of time the young Kingdom of Greece has been victorious in the Balkan Wars against its enemies, the Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Bulgaria. Now however , Greece has to make a choice : Joining the Entente or the Central Powers. There are two powerful men however who represent each ideology : King Constantine I who supports neutrality in favour of the German Empire and the Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos who supports the Entente. Their conflict would lead the tiny country onto series of vendettas infighting and the testament of the Greek people in an event were a country was split in half. You can call it a Schism. A National Schism to be more accurate.
