Please not Ive changed some details from that episode and details moving forward will be very different. I just feel that episode is a good starting point to create their relationship. *i do not own any of the characters/locations in this story*

I haven't written a fanfic story in about nine years. However, I have become a bit frustrated and impatient waiting for a conclusion to this romance and war on The Walking Dead. So, I decided to write a conclusion. None of the characters are my property or creation, but the property of AMC. Just borrowing them for recreational purposes. This one-shot or story or whatever you want to call it contains sexual, violent, and other offensive language that I can think of. The story picks up in the middle of the Whisperer war. Our heroes have fled to Oceanside while Connie is trying to find her way back to her friends and family. Some things and events I have changed, but the changes are few. I look at them both, knowing that they are the most important people in my life and that if I lost them, I wouldn't go on. She is scared and alone but over time as she grows older she becomes more brave. She gets saved by Morgan and Duane saves finds her and saves her life. ⚠️!There is a lot of abuse and gore in this story!⚠️ There is a small bit of romance deep in the story. It's a lot like the actual tv show plot wise. It follows the story. Season 1 now complete

Daryl finds a girl while out on a run, completely alone, and traumatized. She doesn't speak, she hardly sleeps, but Daryl can tell she's tough. Daryl decides to bring her home, and she's attached at his hip. Daryl becomes protective of her and warns anyone that messes with her will wish they didn't. (So this is a lighter story than what I usually right, everyone will have a little humor, it's what happens when Hazel hangs out with people, they feel vulnerable, and share everything with her.
