It all started with a field trip. Then they knew each other.

Peter. He's hated his home, his life. But Spider-Man always made him feel stronger, more accomplished. What if Spider-Man made a mistake?

Tony's falling apart, Virginia "Pepper" Potts was lost two years ago. He can still remember the heart breaking scene of telling her to let go, he would catch her. She let go. He didn't catch her. He's invested a lot of money in booze and drugs. What if Tony ended it all?

Second book in my Spider-Man saga. First of, I have THREE VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS: 1) This book does contain foul language. Allie is a sixteen-year-old high school student, after all. 2) I do use direct quotes from the movies Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame with slight tweaks here and there so they fit my narrative. It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Not helping their problems, a new threat came to be; a powerful terrorist leader named the Mandarin has been responsible for multiple bombings. Tony fears that Pepper might leave him and take Emma with her because she's had enough, especially when she gets visited by an old interest, Killian. After Happy Hogan was severely injured by one of the bombings, an angry Tony gave a threatening promise to Mandarin on the news, which later caused a terrorist attack on Tony's own house, with Pepper and Emma inside. Everyone was left thinking Tony was dead, but he left Pepper and Emma a message, telling them he was alive.
