The Berkians knew better. They kept the tradition of the dragon in their culture until it was driven away, cast aside as if it was an illness. The Berkians went under several changes like their surnames to match the world's society. The main change was the Haddock family know known as the Henderson family.
Now, in the 21st century, dragons are seen as a myth, a legend only few are told to believe. These few are the remaining Haddocks.
Is their world ready for dragons yet?

Long ago, there was a village of vikings on a small island known as Berk, which suffered weekly, sometimes even nightly raids from fire breathing dragons. However the chief's wife, Valka, believed peace was possible between the Vikings and Dragons but no one believed her. During a terrible raid, she was taken by a dragon that showed signs of kindness. However she wasn't the only one taken since she grabbed her infant, Hiccup Haddock the Third, to keep him away from a fire started by the dragon who was startled by her husband. Unfortunately she couldn't grab her other son, a toddler, in time and he was left behind with his father. Over the years, the boy grew up hating dragons and counted down the days until he could join the warriors in battle, defending his village and avenging his brother and mother. However his father always kept him inside the forge during raids in fear of losing the only family he had left. There, the boy became a bit of an inventor as well as a decent blacksmith.
