The Berkians knew better. They kept the tradition of the dragon in their culture until it was driven away, cast aside as if it was an illness. The Berkians went under several changes like their surnames to match the world's society. The main change was the Haddock family know known as the Henderson family.
Now, in the 21st century, dragons are seen as a myth, a legend only few are told to believe. These few are the remaining Haddocks.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has always been different, and the fact that he was born deaf just made things even worse. At least he had made a new friend to help him through everything, though the village would brand him a traitor if they ever found out. There's too much at risk and there's something out there, something that only he and Toothless can resolve.
