Chainta Li was abandoned as a small girl, and was sent through foster home through foster home. Everyone wants to adopt a four year old, or even a seven year old, but no one wants to adopt a fifteen year old. "Too sad, too troubled." They all say, so eventually, Chainta feels alone, and unloved. That is, until she meets Ms. Arnold. Will Chainta's cold and solid heart ever learn to become warm and soft again, or will her troubling past continue to control her?

My lungs and muscles burned. Everything in my body begging me to stop but I had to keep moving. I had to get away. I rather die than go back to that lab but this building was a maze! Never ending hallways and big metal sliding doors that you see in space movies. All I could hear was the patter of my bare feet, heavy breathing, and my heart beating in my ears. "Hey!!! Stop her! And in those 5 months, Sophia is bullied by an older girl, she got adopted twice, but was brought back with bruises and cuts all over. She gets nightmares, flashbacks, and sometimes cry herself to sleep. Poor little girl, right? But one day, a happy couple decided to adopt a little girl just under the age of 12. When they saw Sophia, they knew that she was the one. Although Sophia is shy, sometimes scared of the opposite gender, and has a fear of boxes, this couple is determined to show Sophia that the world has a bright and happy side. It's gonna be hard though. Will they be able to show Sophia what happiness really is? Will she find out who her real parents were? Will she have a happily ever after? The Neighborhood
Aldara is your average orphan who never got adopted. She goes to school, goes back to the orphanage, all is good. Especially with the help of her only friend, Qilin. But everyday, as they walk to the nearby school, they pass by this metal fence, and on the other side is a neighborhood that seems to be around for about 100 years. Not to mention that there is an urban legend going around, that once you enter the neighborhood, you can never get out. Also that the neighborhood is filled with freaks, bad people.
