16 parts Complete The last two years of Hazel's life have been miserable.
And now she's thriving on her own. How ironic that the spring after she turns eighteen, she is surviving without her only remaining family members - her mother and brother. Her old best friend and her new boyfriend are hardly a replacement, especially when they leave because he got bit.
Now Hazel is alone, until she finds him while searching for food. Matthew, curly haired, redheaded, and a pain for Hazel. But he leads her to a group of survivors, who present a nice face but have plenty of things to hide. And after they whisk Hazel into the midst of their troubles, she gets pulled into even deeper secrets that should never have been created in the first place.
Hazel isn't scared by much, but what she finds out among them will terrify her deeper than she could ever have thought.
