You may know her as Carmen, the immortal Spanish vampire and mate of Eleazar from the Denali Coven in The Twilight Saga; though little is known of her history. The Carmen Chronicles are her stories - inspired by the creator of Twilight, Stephanie Meyer.
The Beginning details Carmen's early human life. Born in 1676 into one of the most impoverished areas in Spain after the War of Devolution, she soon found herself sold into child slavery and forced to work for her cruel masters as she fought to survive.
