~.- Credit To @silverwhisperings- For The Cover -.~ Naviah. This land is no balanced ground, there's no long lasting peace, no cherished sanctuary. Blood stains the ground on which the warring races stand, igniting the fury of every kingdom in a wildfire of destruction. This used to be a place of magic, where the giant forms of dragons could be seen across the sky and colourful fairies were spotted on flower petals. The races worked together to ensure that the land prospered, and with it, it's inhabitants. However, this delicate balance was upturned when the humans grew ignorant and unjust. They began to hunt down those of magic blood, seeking power they could not have. One race, more powerful than any other known to Naviah, decided it was time to rid the land of the humans' foul delusions. The Aurorai warriors were shifters of extraordinary abilities, able to change their form into that of a dragon. They forged the Amulet of Aurora, consisting of five gems which held the very essence of Naviah. The sapphire, gem of water. The emerald, gem of earth. The ruby, gem of fire. The diamond, gem of air. And the opal, gem of life. When the human king, Orios was overpowered, he ordered five assassins to infiltrate the great Keep of Aurorai and steal what they held dearest, the Amulet. The Aurorai were strong, and fought for the fate of Naviah with courage and determination. No amount of skill could prevent the horrors which unfolded during this final battle. The Amulet of Aurorai was stolen, taken from the Keep by the five assassins who dared defy the natural order. But the creatures of the land were drawn to the Amulet, summoned to defend it's magic against all odds. However, the Amulet was broken in the midst of the fight, and the five gems were cast to the ground. In their panic, each carrier grasped a single gem, fleeing to the furthest corners of Naviah where they hid the gems from seeking eyes. War is once again upon us. Can the Amulet be restored in time?

Emblems

((Originally, Phoenix)) “Leave me alone!” Her form flickered in the dim light. The brothers shared a look. “All right,” one started. “Just let us say something first. We know you have powers; we can sense them on you. We can do this because we have powers too. We call it magic. If you want, we can show you.” “Prove it then.” ~^~^~^~^~ There was a monster inside of her – a dark thing that always tried to claw its way out, ripping her insides to shreds as it went. She found no relief from it, maybe because she had no happy memories to find solace in, nor anyone to find comfort in. And yet, Amber could be the catalyst to setting a series of events that had been prophesied centuries before, into motion, bringing together three more people – the embodiments of the Emblems – to bring magic back to life. But in this underlying world of Adepts, Demons and secrets within secrets, unlocking their potential will be harder than you think. ~^~^~^~^~^ So, this is my 2014 Nanowrimo story, which is basically an attempt to rewrite Phoenix, where it shall go through major changes in plot, characters as well as effects of my new-and-improved writing style. I hope you enjoy it, and please give constructive criticism! {Also, the cover is temporary, till I find someone who can help me with it :P}
