It was a case of mistaken identity. Without stopping to see who was answering the door to the apartment he knocked on, Dutch blurted out the invitation to dinner. But instead of asking out the girl he had a crush on, he'd asked out her roommate, Penelope. Dutch decided one dinner date with Pen would be fine and that would be the end of things. Except...he fell in love with Pen on that date and eventually asked her to marry him. Life was perfect. Until Penelope overhead Dutch telling his former crush that asking Penelope out had been a mistake.
