Daisy, is in her Junior year for high school, 11th grade. Her parents have decided to let her move to ValleyDale, Alabama with her aunt Jade, to attend school. It’s complicating to be taken care of if your dad has a business trip across the state, and your mom visits the world to help take care of endangered animals. So it’s her only choice.
But, Daisy isn’t really worried about going to a new place. It’s because she’s been talking to her childhood best friend, Ethan Jefferson. Since the sixth grade, when he left her home town. That is until last year. Since the last time they spoke, Daisy remembers Ethan saying that he was moving to ValleyDale. And there is just one high school there.

The Best Kind of Betrayal
It's the first day of June's senior year and everything is already going wrong. Her first boyfriend and supposedly love of her life dumps her for someone else, her heart is broken and feels like it won't ever heal again and her best friend makes her join the most unnecessary club on earth to help her find new friends she most definitely does not need. Still. New chances are for new beginnings, right? "Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately. You know the old saying fake it til you make it? Well my best friend took that a little too seriously. Caitlyn came up with a crazy scheme to help me finally get the guy I had been crushing on for three years. Her plan was a little unorthodox to say the least. After my escape, and yet another but brutal last year at the same high school, my school sent me their condolences and made sure to inform my future college of my past.
