Carla's mother, Diana is strong, and brave during this time and is determined to give Carla the best life possible and keep her smiling. Despite everything Diana is doing for her late husband's ill and weak mother financially and emotionally, Carla's grandmother, Laura still expresses her hate and negative emotions towards Diana and blames her for her son's death, and even accuses Diana of murdering her own husband, she is so certain that Diana was the murderer that she also tries to convince Carla. This ruins Laura's bond with her grandaughter.
