Eddie Kaspbrak is a "fragile" 17 year old. Sheltered and suffocated by his mother; so much so that his reality consists of watching the outside world, and not participating within it. That's fine by him, he's a boy who's suffered from agoraphobia since the age of 9 and hasn't stepped a foot out of his door for 8 years. His one and only friend is Richie Tozier. A wild 18 year old who knew Eddie before he was snatched away by his mothers trap. Ever since then, Richie has snuck through eddies bedroom window, every night at midnight, watching Eddie slowly deteriorate into a ball of anxiety. Determined to stop this once and for all. Richie decides one night that he is going to end this, he believes he can rescue the boy and teach eddie the world isn't so terrifying.
He wants them to start a life together.
But tells Eddie nothing more then to await by the bedroom window.
