Jack was gay, plain and simple.  He was quirky and smart and easy to talk to.  He was studying English to become a author. He was also a parent. His sister, Aurelia, had given birth to a son but tragically within the first week the premature baby was a orphan. Jack swooped in and took the new born into his home as his own son. 

Alexander was straight,  he had a girlfriend and she was pregnant. Jack was his friend but they lost touch after graduation. Alexander runs into Jack one day and they were instantly best friends again. But one night he came home early to overhear his girlfriend claim the child wasn't his to someone on the phone. Distraught and confused he takes refuge at Jack's not knowing his high school best friend loved him more that a friend. One night they kiss and he was unsure what to do. 

Alexander not only finds himself falling in love with Jack but his cute son, the house, and the feelings.
