I want to say that I grew up believing I'd find a nice man to marry, and I'd settle down in a big house and have three kids. But I never did. I grew up believing that I'd end up alone. I was labeled a slut when I was 15. That's how people see me. At school, at least.
But I'm hoping this new job would be different. There's no one familiar here. I'm in new territory.
But one thing prey always forgets when entering new territory, look both ways.

Sawyer isn't afraid to live her life anymore. She thinks she is free from the fear that her past had her caged in. But is she free from the shame that society imprisons her with?

Elyssa made a decision a long time ago, one that still follows her around today. But at this new school, she hopes to find acceptance she's never gotten anywhere else, even from her own father.

Tabitha has known Sawyer since before Jake cornered her in the back of the bus and stuck his hands places they shouldn't have been. But Tabitha is still struggling to know herself. She thinks she's real, but how can a lesbian exist in a town where gayness isn't known, let alone accepted. How can she exist if her own family doesn't believe that she's real?
