They will start to take over the countries so that they can rule the world. I childish thought it is to me. Only they would have the antidote to this. Of course, other people would try to make the antidote, but it would not work because the virus can mutate. It will keep changing. 'Can you imagine the world in that sort of state? No? well, I did, and it is a kind you would not like to live in. I had made their plan fail but they threatened that they would try again and that I will know when they would be about ready.' This is a series of short stories inspired by a friend. After buying a new house his mom found a letter (random scribbling?) left behind in a back closet. The scrap of folded paper had warnings about demons that lived in the walls and forced him to sell his house. Needless to say it was an unsettling discovery. Pair that with my own personal experience of buying a house sight unseen and moving (literally) halfway across the country in the middle of a pandemic I had enough material to put together a short collection of stories. Each story opens with an item discovered in a house followed by either the origin of the item or the discovery of the item. All focus around the experience of someone moving. I write these for fun (there are more coming, just editing at the moment) and my own entertainment during the time of social distancing. I hope you find something relatable or at the very least gets you thinking. Enjoy! PS - Although I would not consider this overly graphic there are some more mature scenes and use of adult language.
