"If you don't fight, you'll never be free." Twenty-year-old Song Shadowlore has lost her way in life - she is solitary, bitter and distrusting, and on the verge of turning to drink to drown her woes. Her only companion is her childhood friend and confidante, a dragonling named Eeyda who is three years her junior. It seems that the pair are trapped in a vicious cycle - but when they stumble upon a mysterious wounded stranger in the forest they call home, a sudden chain of events are set in motion which will force Song to confront the dark obscurities of her past, pitting family against friends and love against loss. --- *Rated PG-13 for some more mature content (use of alcohol, some gore/threat, and occasional use of strong language.
