L.A.'s Gift of Escape

Slamming the door to my room, I dropped my stuff on the corner chair only to have it fall. I pick up the mess to find a book with a note on it. I opened the note to see that it was for me. Upon opening the book I was transported deep within the sea, where a mermaid princess seemed to me. The story was like the daydream I had in science class. The princess had run away so she could be free of becoming queen. As I passed the borders of the kingdom, I was captured by the enemies. A merman with a spear, was the first to be seen and this guy did not look pleased it was me. Next thing I know I'm back on my bed feeling a little sleepy. Within two hours I was fast asleep dreaming about the events of the day with the book on the nightstand next to me.
