The year is 2014.

After the events of the fight in Washington D.C. against HYDRA and bringing down Project INSIGHT, Adelaide Lehnsherr lives in tranquil peace and rest with former HYDRA operative, the Winter Soldier. Also known as James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes. She helps him discover his past and he, in turn, begins to open his cold heart to her, but then the unthinkable happens.

Baron von Strucker of Sokovia's HYDRA wing takes her captive, separating her from her beloved Bucky. As well as finding her place in HYDRA, she finds that she is related to two unique young people in the Sokovian HYDRA facility. Who are twins. Apart from finding out who she is and developing and expanding her powers in ways she never knew, she takes part in a project that may change her forever. 

On the other side of the world, Steve Rogers is anxious. He wonders where his beloved Avenger has gone. He turns to desperate measures until, finally, Natasha Romanoff finds a lead that may trace the whereabouts of his Adelaide.
