A month ago, Alex woke up in the Box. He was sent up into the Glade to live amongst many other teenage boys. Like the other youths dumped here before him, he has no memory of his previous life. As time goes on he learns to embrace his life in the glade, even earning a spot as a runner in the glade. As the weeks stretch on the hope of finding a way out seems to dwindle until a boy named Thomas comes up in the Box. However, he's not alone.
