This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story. My earliest memory is pain. Pain of losing a mother, pain of losing the love of a father, pain from the isolation that happened after the incident. I am reminded by others that what happened on that day was an accident and it wasn't my fault, but deep down I know what truly happened and so does my father and brothers. The deep self-anger and self-hate I have was slowly consuming me until I was taken away by General Organa and the Resistance. My life was beginning to look brighter, until the day I was kidnapped by the First Order. This is where my story neither begins nor ends. This is when my story becomes dark, so dark that even a Sith Lord would tremble in fear. I don't own the Star Wars universe (duh) but I do own the main character and those that are not from SW. There will be spoilers, but the storyline might diverge a bit from the original plot from the films.

Really, like I can't believe just how much it turned out to be compared to what I had in mind at first. Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. They might still have similarities to the movies but not that many. ------ **I do not own any of the characters in the Star Wars Saga all credits to that go to Lucas Films.**

Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. For that reason, she was even more terrorizing than Kylo Ren himself. She stayed with him despite all he had done- all that he had made her do. She knew nothing else, only him, only the First Order. Until she met the Resistance's Best Pilot, and found a way out.
