A plague sweeps the land, killing almost every dragon. A nightwing gets hit with a prophecy that their home will be saved. The prophet tries to tell anyone, but eventually gets eaten by the plague. Dragons swarm him, ripping at his flesh and tearing him apart in the sky. Screams echo in the valleys, scaring the remaining dragons deeper into hiding. Starfish, one of the dragons that wasn't infected, heard the screams. She was carrying an egg in her stomach when she was attacked, but luckily she lived. Her husband saved her life and their dragonet's. The egg was hatched, and out came a floppy little dragonet with brown and blue scales, chirping up at her infected mother.

He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. Born in a mud hut with no parents and BigWing leading his family as all MudWings do. But something wasn't normal with these MudWings. They could do things that MudWings shouldn't and no one could explain it. Or maybe they didn't care that these dragonets seemed stronger in daylight, or that their breath at times seemed toxic. A high-pitched, pain-stricken scream. Like a hawk. That was the sound that echoed through the gloomy sky that evening. The furious clouds banged their drums and distributed fireworks in preparation of the godly tantrum to come, animals of the forest safely tucked away in their little homes. Everything was so quiet until the hawk. A large bird of sorts, you saw it, falling from the sky. Except that it soon errupted into light, like flames, like a meteor. Like a shooting star that was strayed by attraction through gravity in its passage from the east to the west. What you'll find here is just about that. Title says it all. A long time ago before humans roamed the earth there lived dragons and their hatchlings and drakes. They feasted on living animals of the water and land and proud to be able to touch the sky. All of them were different shades of colors and some even bore two or three different colors and all of them sparkled in the sun. One year there was a dark hatchling that when he became a drake and wondered into the sun did not shine. He was the only dragon born that could not shine and was named Dark One by the elders. Years down the road he took his name and used it against all the other dragons and chose to follow an evil path of hatred. One year he left his weir and ventured to other lands to find a home for him. He would find young female dragons and use them just to leave them before she laid her clutch of eggs. Most of them would abandon the eggs and others destroyed them. All except for one female who decided it was not the fault of her young ones that he had left. She decided to keep her clutch and raise them herself without the help of the Dark One that had used her. And thus our story begins ...Complete
