I looked at his capturing dark brown eyes. They were warm, comforting and loving. His long lashes touched his cheek as he closed his eyes and deeply sighed. When he opened them again, I slightly flinched back an inch away from him. His eyes were now troubled, sad and cold. "Piera, my love," he said smiling sadly. "No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you." He reached out and lightly touched my cheek. "It's us against the world, but I've got to let you go," his voice cracking at the end. Tears clouded my eyes and I quietly cried. He reached over to wipe them with his thumb. He slowly and softly kissed my lips. I slid my hands through his hair, while we were passionately kissing and crying at the same time. He slowly let go of me and I whimpered sadly. He looked straight into my eyes as if it's my soul and heart. "I love you, amore mia."
