In a small city in Japan, the annual Mihara Daruma festival is taking place. It is one of the largest festivals in Japan and Mirai wants to attend this festival with a special someone- Naruse. They had promised to buy each other Daruma dolls and to write their wishes for the other person underneath it, which they can only look at a year after that. However, during the festival, Naruse suddenly has to leave, informing her that after the festival ends, they'll never meet each other again.
