Ayla Akram is a the only daughter of a rich, political family. A promise of betrothal made in infancy is now to be fulfilled. Shy, unconfident, and intimidated Ayla decides enough is enough and for the first time takes the reins of her life in her own hands, deceiving her mother and her entire family. What follows is a test of courage and standing up for herself, even as it comes at a cost to her own morality.
