Jeralt never left the church on that fateful day. He stayed and let his daughter grow up in the place her mother loved so dearly- around the people her mother loved. Byleth grew up contained within the monastery but always yearned for the outside. Her one true dream was to explore all of fodlan and visit the places her father told her about. She knew she could never leave as it was far too dangerous as Rhea had told her.

As the new students come to the monastery things begin to get more lively in her life. She begins to meet these new students and gradually creates a bond with each one of them.
Though going outside has its price and Rhea's punishments are never light.

A war between freedom and safety shall be waged. Is there hope on the other side of the wall?
