While short-staffed the BAU receives a case where couples are being targeted, but in order to work the case, they must contact a local university to get a new perspective. During the case, the team lets their guard down, which results in someone being harmed, while one of their own struggles to understand new feelings. The real question is will the case change the team for the better or worse.
