Larkthroat never quite recovered from the war.

Every time he closes his eyes, he sees the blood
again. He sees cats' bodies falling limply to the
ground, lifeless shells of what used to be a warrior
that had a family and a life. The hallucinations
creeped to the waking world eventually. The other
cats thought the stress drove him mad.

He was trapped in his own shell, drifting between unconsciousness and reality. He left all hope for
himself far behind. Every day was a struggle. The
struggle was too much.

Larkthroat began to lose hope that he would ever
live a normal life and get past the war.
