What happens when life evolves beyond normal measures? When a group of normal ordinary people stumble upon an extra-terrestrial secret, linked to the existence of mankind, do they have what it takes to defy their creators and save the planet which they live on, or will it all end in death and destruction. When a mysterious fallen angel calling himself 'The Guardian' reveals the truth to a random group of strangers, their world is turned upside-down. “Don’t get in to any trouble on your way over there and hurry back, Frankie might not be able to talk if you take too long.” Melanie gives the man a sarcastic smile to show that she really does not want to be alone with Frankie for long as she cannot stand his sarcasm. The fifth member of the group clambers in to the vehicle in the front seat next to the driver and they head off towards the hospital. Just as they pull off a faint click and a series of beeps emanates from the container in the corner behind the bench underneath the tattered curtain. Melanie goes over to investigate and what she see’s shocks her but fills her mind with curiosity. She reaches down and grabs a syringe and a document from inside the container. The document read: ’Experimental NanoMite Serum. For Hybrids/Humans Only. Extreme caution is advised when handling the contents of this cylinder. Below that another heading in bold read: ‘Journal detailing the growth and monitoring of Hybrid race on E.A.R.T.H’ “What the actual fuck is this!?” This book contains strong language, with adult humour and scenes. Please read with an open mind. Book 1 in a 4 book series.

We knew something wasn't right from the moment we awoke. It was like something was missing - a part of our very souls - and we couldn't sense the deficiency, no matter how hard we tried. A hundred million eyes adjusted to the dark all at once, all surprised to be awakened so soon. We ran through our checklists of limbs and senses, drawing ourselves out of our dreams piece by piece. Some went back to sleep, unaware, unbothered, too tired to notice the difference. Some lay in bed, too anxious to stand until the light of dawn crept through their windows at last, and they were sure the monsters in their closets had gone back to sleep. Some leapt from their slumbers, more keenly aware than others that the missing pieces were important. But we didn't know. We couldn't have. Not until we found ourselves standing in the light and discovered: We no longer had shadows.
