Tilly Hayes is a quiet book lover who spends most of her time reading, in the local bookshop or updating her blog. She lives happily with her mum, dad, older brother Xander and their dog, Willow.
Daye Ellis is a troubled soul, after his dad walked out on him, his mum and little sister Rita, Daye had to step up but, then again, he's always been more of a father figure to Rita anyway. The one way he can escape is through music, writing and playing his guitar.
On one particular Saturday, Daye is browsing the shelves in the local bookshop, the classic section where Tilly also happens to be that day. The pair get talking and Tilly is drawn in by Daye's mysterious demeanour. Who is he? And why has she never seen him in here before?
Daye likes the way Tilly seems so sure of herself, she's young but cast among hundreds of classic books written decades ago.
When he leaves Tilly thinks all hope is lost, she'll never see him again. Until her bestfriends boyfriend recognises the name as the same person who plays at the local pub he goes to.
As the pair get talking, they get closer and Tilly is drawn into Daye's mismatched home life, wandering far from her usual sheltered life. Daye trusts Tilly enough to allow her in but if he struggles with his own home how can anyone else feel at ease being there? All Tilly wants to do is to help Daye, she wants to be there for him. That's what you do for the people you love, right? You stick together, you work through the hard times, surely that should be enough.

"One of my favorite tropes is someone who believes they're hard to love and someone who loves them like it's breathing." TW: Mentions of suicide and abuse Forest Gray is what everyone would describe as a golden boy; perfect grades, the star of the football team, and a damn good friend. He is rich and good looking, he has it all. Except the one thing he's wanted his whole life; his parents love and acceptance. They are never home, yet they hold a protective barrier around him no matter what. They even own the school he goes to. Forest is to do and be who they say, and he's never been one to disobey or displease anyone, except for when he falls in love with the one boy who's able to break his parents spell. Atlas Hart is different from most people, because most people don't skip school and disappear for days or even weeks at a time. But most people don't have his intense emotions and outbursts of anger, or a broken family, or looked at as the outcast of the school. When Forest meets Atlas, he can't believe he's never noticed someone so perfect for him, and Atlas just can't believe someone like Forest is even talking to him. They fall helplessly in love, creating a bump in the plan Forest's parents laid out for his life before he was even born. Follows the struggles of falling in love with someone you're not supposed to and coming to terms with it while facing obstacles like family and friendship complications in which the characters have to overcome.

[COMPLETE] Genesis Munroe, a virtuoso college freshman has always been the shy type, the good girl, the smart kid who sat in the back of class and practiced classical piano after school. So rooming with a male was something different. She came to college for an experience, a search for something new, but her roommate, James du Bellay doesn't talk directly to her and instead leaves passive-aggressive notes on the door. He puts his stuff on her side of the room, shuts her out of the room, and ignores her. Well, he ignored her until she auditioned for the music team where he was the president. He wanted to deny how good she was, and he didn't care, until he found out he was staring straight at his competition. She had a 5.8 GPA, and she took piano classes for fun, while he took it out of necessity. She was a threat to the palaces he had built at his school and he needed her gone. In the coming day, James finds out that Genesis is in love with his best friend Chad Douglas, a snobbish self-proclaimed alpha male vlogger. So he takes advantage of her obsession. James agrees to teach Genesis how to make Chad fall in love with her, and he gets to watch Chad break her heart so she leaves this school crying (but Genesis doesn't need to know that). He needs her gone. Or he thinks he does. Wait, damn was she always this hot? Is it the short dress he just bought for her, or is it just her? Wait, what was his goal again? Oh right, he needs her gone, pronto. * mature due to cursing and sexual scenes *
