Moana took a naive risk to get Maui to the Mother Island. Her mistake has damaged Maui's magic fish hook. Without his magic hook, he isn't Maui. He abandons Moana and refuses to fulfill his destiny. Far away from Moana and T'acha, he flies to a nearby isle to get some food and what he finds just might knock some sense into his big thick demi-skull. He might even remind Maui who he is can't be measured by the weight he carries. (This is not an attempt to commit copyright infringement or arbitrary claim to a protected intellectual property.)
