Fake Friends

A short story based on real events.

Robin and Ashley have been 'bestest friends' since sixth grade. As the years passed by, Robin felt even more used each day. There were too many parallels that they could draw between Ashley and their mother. Maybe they were just overreacting though. Maybe this is how friendship works. Maybe emotional scars were just a small drawback. When someone showed Robin the truth, they couldn't take it anymore.

No more chances. Robin was not going to be a puppet on a string. Not again.
